DNA sequencing

Samples are prepared by the client (using this protocol) and are brought to the DNA Sequencing Facility for analysis.

Run types

  • Short runs: short runs < 750bp
  • Long runs: 750bp < long runs > 1000bp
Fragment analysis

Samples are prepared by the client (using this protocol) and are brought to the DNA Sequencing Facility for analysis.

Minimum sample batch size

  • 24 samples

Fragment analysis filtersets

  • DS 33 filterset G5
  • DS 30 filterset D
  • DS 02 filterset E5
  • Other filtersets can be run by special request (contact Renate Zipfel)
Pricing
  • R 20.00 per sample for the University of Pretoria research staff and students
  • Prices for outside users will be determined on a case-by-case basis
